Servus. Robby Sintern is a contemporary German painter and draftsman, born in 1964, and lives in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. His artworks are characterized by expressive figurations that often include surreal elements. He mainly uses oil on canvas, but also works with acrylic, watercolor, charcoal and ink on various materials. Sintern uses the means of art to explore the interaction of the individual with his environment. The themes revolve around community, relationships, imperfections and contradictions, but also resources and how to deal with them. "At the centre of my work is the human being. His desires and dreams, the contradictions in his will and actions - as well as his imperfection and the striving for self-optimisation - all of this concerns me. I usually find motifs in my immediate surroundings, sometimes they are private pictures, often they are photos from flea market purchases that I use as templates. However, many of my works are based on pure imagination - or on direct observations."

commissioned works I also accept commissions. If you have any favorites among my paintings, send me the name of the painting so that I can get an idea of your preferred color palette and composition. Please also write in the same email how you imagine your future work of art. Commissioned works are 1/3 more expensive than other pictures of a comparable size. This is because the coordination between artist and buyer naturally means a lot more work. As the artist, I strive to maintain a continuous dialogue before, during and after the work is created. This includes documenting the creation process with photos and videos to ensure that the result meets the client's expectations. This approach naturally means more time and effort than if I simply work away in my studio undisturbed and just following my intuition. I charge 50% of the purchase price as a deposit before I start a job. This money is used to pay for the material and the time I need for preparation. Please understand that the deposit will not be refunded if the client changes his mind - for whatever reason. I want to make sure that my client really feels bound to the agreement, because I put a lot of energy into a project like this. Of course, I can do commissioned work in any size you want. There are no size restrictions when it comes to creating a work of art that resonates with you. If you have any further questions or requests, I invite you to visit my contact page where you will find an easy way to send me a message. I look forward to working with you to create your dream painting.

expressive figuration Ausdrucksstarke Portraits Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Robby Sintern, a talented German painter who lives and works in the Munich area. His works invite you to look at the world through his eyes and be carried away by his vibrant color palette. Each painting tells its own story and offers you the opportunity to question familiar perspectives. Let yourself be surprised by its unusual views and discover familiar things in a new light. The careful selection of his subjects and his unique perspective on life are reflected in every brushstroke and create an emotional connection. Perhaps you will find in his paintings not only an enrichment for your walls, but also a source of inspiration for your own life. Who knows, maybe one of his works of art will soon occupy a special place in your home and bring you joy every day. Expressive Portraits Portraits have always been one of my favorite subjects. I like to compare faces with landscapes. Mountains, valleys, caves, furrows, rolling hills and sometimes faults - just as wind and weather change a landscape, life shapes our face. It is the only part of the body that we are constantly exposed to unprotected strangers' gazes. Whether it's good or bad luck - everything leaves traces there. Following these traces, dissolving them in color or highlighting them - that's what excites me. If you would like a portrait of a person you admire or love, please feel free to write to me. I am available for portrait commissions. Current The 76th Great Swabian Art Exhibition , in the Glass Palace / Augsburg, to which I was again allowed to contribute a picture. My painting " City, Country, River " can be seen there. ________________________________ Until 06.01.2025, the Ostallgäu art exhibition in Marktoberdorf . Portraits. With the portraits I started to explore the limits. To what degree can I abstract without the recognition suffering? The Mugshots. The mugshots are a series that I started at the beginning of the Corona lockdown. I was interested in the view of people who realize that their lives are going to change from now on and that they are losing their freedom. Old mugshots from the 1920s - 50s served as templates. An outlier from this series is Nick Nolte. I was fascinated by his hair, which seemed to have a life of its own. Do you have a portrait commission? We'd be happy to...
